The Board of Directors have a strong connection to the Ballarat Catholic Community and have a range of expertise, life experiences and backgrounds. He served various terms totaling fifteen years in all as a member of the Provincial Council of the Redemptorist Congregation. He represented the Australian province at the congregation’s general chapter in Brazil in 1991 and, from 2008 until the announcement of his appointment as Bishop of Ballarat, he served as Provincial of the Australian Province of the congregation with overall responsibility for the communities and missions in Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. Lima joined the Centacare board in 2006 and was appointed Chairperson of the board in 2015. Marge holds over 20 years’ experience in the training and education industry with expertise in leadership and management training with a particular emphasis on business, health, aged care, disability services and government. Marge joined the Centacare board in 2013 and is also a board member of the Centacare Housing Incorporated board. Mary has worked extensively in the areas of organizational change and development. Mary joined the Centacare board in 1993. Allan was appointed to the Centacare board in 2012. Centacare acknowledges the history, culture, diversity and value of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and pays respect to their elders preceding and present, as healthy as acknowledging coming generations. Tony holds extensive experience in accounting and business management working as a partner in an accounting practice for over ten years, business manager for Catholic Lesser Colleges for over eight years and Business Development Manager for the Catholic Dioceses of Ballarat for seven years. Hal has been a leading figure in the social housing sector for over 30 years including founding Ecumenical Housing in 1985 and being the CEO for over 18 years. He joined the Centacare Housing board in 2016. Centacare’s Executive Team hold a diverse range of skills in business administration, social welfare, governance, management and community services. She is professionally accredited CPA and maid. In her employment at Centacare Irish has contributed to the organization as a Senior Manager Employment and Vocational Services occupied across youth programs, housing and employment support programs. She is a professional member of the National Employment Services Association and Jobs Australia. Sue brings to the team extensive non for gain experience in counseling, group work, management of family urge services, parenting, alcohol and other drug services and family violence. Human life at every stage of development, from conception to natural death, is prized and thus worthy of protection and respect. Human beings are social therefore they grow and accomplish fulfillment by association with others in families and other social institutions such as unions. We show our respect for the Creator by our responsible use and concern of all creation, from the use of personal talents and resources to caring for the environment. Quality is embedded in the culture of Centacare and is integrated into the operations and labor of the organization, resulting in effective client centered services and a consistently tall standard of quality. We continually strive to improve our service delivery and programs, participating in quality initiatives, peer reviews and customary outer quality reviews.
