You will learn the fundamental techniques behind vocals that will enable you to find your own style, soul, rock, whether it is pop, folk or old school classics. Although she has knowledge of classical singing and its importance, her teaching and personal taste is geared primarily towards contemporary music. Personally Kristie had 4 years of classical lessons, plays guitar, and utilizes the piano in warm-ups and exercises. She has spent the last 2 years in London playing solo shows and with her own band Tsuki Lala. She has had international releases on labels: Black Vinyl (UK), Kolour Recordings (US), Renegade (UK), HearNoEvil (UK), Greenhouse (UK), Mutated Music. Kristie is also a professional working vocalist. She had close to 250 students in that time, ranging from ages 5 – 60. Most of these students were permanent weekly clients. Before that, Advanced Music, Joondalup Music, including Mindarie Music, she taught for 5 years in Australia from her private studio and at several music schools in Perth, and The Academy of Contemporary music. Kristie has been teaching in London for the last 2 years. Her extensive repertoire of popular, soul, rock, folk and avant-garde songs helps her connect with every student. She teaches everyone from beginners to semi-professionals. She draws from her own experience, strength and power, expression, pitch, performance, intonation, sharing all her techniques and exercises on breathing, writing and improvising and is a true inspiration to all her students.
